Syllabus Update
Homework will utilize the department’s webwork system. One assignment will be
posted roughly for each lecture that we have in class. Assignments will be roughly 10
questions long and students will have about 2 weeks to complete each assignment.
In addition to the group projects that will be assigned throughout the semester
a certain amount of class participation will be required. This will take the form
of students providing answer keys for their classmates for practice quizzes, quizzes,
reviews, and tests. Each student will be required to write up solutions to at least
5 problems throughout the semester. The more solutions the student provides the
more points they will earn toward the project grade. This will be the only way to get
extra points throughout the semester. A student can not earn more than 4% of their
total grade in extra credit.
