Chair Borrie reported that both the Prerequisite Restrictions and Single Catalog motions were
approved at the Faculty Senate meeting. Voting on the Majors Policy (Procedure 203.70)
was postponed due to running out of time. ASCRC members that serve on the Senate were
thanked for their support.

Chair Borrie is still doing some homework with regard to the T-designation issue. He will
send something out by the end of the week.
Business Items:

The Social and Cultural curriculum items appended below were approved. The proposal for
COMX 212 Introduction to Intercultural Communication and PSYX 240 Foundations of
Abnormal Psychology are still pending. Both proposals are proposed by Missoula College
and have common course numbers that exist at another university within the MUS. The
coordinating departments on the main campus have not yet signed the forms.
Communication Studies has been discussing how the course fits within its curriculum and
will likely sign off soon with some minor revisions. It is likely that Associate Provost
Walker-Andrews will meet with the Chair of Psychology regarding PSYX 240.


Assistant Vice President for Student Success agreed to draft the letter requesting
departments to change catalog course descriptions to match schedule course descriptions.
