Compensation Philosophy Statement
The Center’s philosophy is to compensate employees equitably, based on performance and within
the guidelines of budget constraints. We base this philosophy on our desire to attract, retain and
motivate an outstanding workforce. This philosophy is designed to pay for performance; award
promotional increases based on either performance or potential after employees have demonstrated
the ability to perform satisfactorily in their new assignment and maintain a system of job evaluation
that will enable us to recognize differences in assignments.
The organization strives to pay competitively and equitably for employee performance. However,
budgetary and business issues are also considerations in what the center delivers as compensation.
