Join us Rapture, Blister, Burn, a play by Gina Gionfriddo and featuring Amy
Brenneman. It tells a story about two friends from grad school, a successful author and a
stay-at-home mom, who envy each other’s lives. With insight and wit, this comedy is an
unflinching look at gender politics in the wake of 20th century feminist ideals. A brief
discussion will follow on American women culture, the role of women in the society, and
the balance between career and family.
WoW cultural events are part of the WoW social activities
that help promote the participation of women in science by
establishing strong networks of support and exchange of
various academic and personal issues that strengthen
connections and raise awareness of key issues to help support
women in their studies and retain them in the sciences.
