Dear Students,
We are currently soliciting membership for the UWSP chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political
Science Honor Society. The purpose of this organization is to provide students access to become
members in an honor society that supports scholarship and intellectual engagement regarding
government and politics. The benefits include the prestige of being an honor society member, the right to
wear a medallion and honor cord at graduation, access to a unique job database, an opportunity to apply
for Pi Sigma Alpha scholarships and internships, and other opportunities. The cost for a lifetime
membership for students is $45.00.
Membership criteria:
Must be at least a junior
Have completed at least ten credits in political science
Have at least one upper-division course in political science
Must have an average grade of B or higher in political science courses.
Overall GPA must place them in the top one-third of their whole class (i.e., your entire junior or
senior class).
You do not need to be political science major.
