MATH (Reassess Topics 1 and 2.) ~Use place value to round whole numbers. ~Systematically find and record all possible outcomes for a situation. SCIENCE --Light and Sound Energy --Design energy experiments. SOCIAL STUDIES (Assess on 6 Regions of KY) --5 Themes of Geography Last Week... The Change Up... E/LA ~Identify the key features of poems (limerick and shape poem). ~Analyze cause and effect relationships in a story. ~Identify common and proper nouns. ~Use prefixes and suffixes to decode and analyze unknown words. ~Spell grade appropriate words correctly (-s & -es). MATH ~Read and write 3 and 4-digit numbers (standard, expanded, and word forms). ~Explain place value relationships. ~Compare and order whole numbers through the thousands period. Fourth grade spelling words for this week are not from our Reading Street text. They are the number words that are necessary for Math; one-twenty, hundred, thousand, and twenty-four (making sure to include the hyphen in number words from twenty-one to ninety-nine).
