What is advanced standing status?
If an applicant currently holds a Bachelor’s of Social Work from a CSWE (Council on Social Work
Education) accredited program they may apply for advanced standing by contacting the Social Work
Department. Advanced Standing status allows students to complete the MSW (Master of Social Work)
program in one year if attending full-time or two years attending part-time. The program may be
completed in one or two calendar years and begins with a summer internship.
