Project Title: (title & pictures related to the project) 3D printing accessory for smart material handling Introduction: (Explain the framework of the project and the problem to be solved) HP 3D printers are based on proprietary HP Multi Jet Fusion technology. This technology is able to take powder and transform it to any kind of finished 3D parts. Different materials can be used starting with different kind of powders. A mobile device is needed to transport powder to the printer or to take out 3D printed parts from the printer. This mobile device named ‘trolley’ must be controlled by the printer or an operator in the stand-alone scenario. In the case of being in stand-alone situation, the operator will need a ‘user interface’. The goal of the project is to design and develop a ‘user interface’ to operate the trolley device. This interface must implement input (buttons) and output information (LEDs, display…) as well. --More information on HP Multi Jet Fusion technology and 3D printing: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/commercial-printers/floater/3Dprinting.html Project Brief: (Describe the project specifying the main objective and its outcomes, design specifications, etc…) Goal: to design and develop a ‘user interface’ for the ‘trolley’ device.
