Curriculum: Weiss stated that we have received all the curriculum proposals except from the Department of Educational

Leadership, Counseling and Postsecondary Education who had experienced some technical difficulties. The next step is for the

Senate to review the proposal and decide if they should move forward. The following timeline was adopted:

 February 7, 2011 at 3:30 P.M.

 Educational Psychology and Foundation

 Special Education

 February 21, 2011 at 3:30 P.M.

 Educational Leadership, Counseling and

Postsecondary Education

 School of HPELS

 March 7, 2011 at 3:30 P.M.

 Curriculum and Instruction

 March 21, 2011

 Leave open in case needed

Weiss will provide summary sheets to help guide the Senate in this process, in addition to comments written by Rob Boody. Waggoner questioned if we could ask the Graduate Studies Committee, chaired by Zwanziger, to undertake a study of the graduate core with representatives from all departments and formulate a process college-wide. The committee could then bring options to the Senate that we could use for administrative work flow. Weiss stated that the graduate coordinators from each department will be invited to the appropriate meetings. After considerable discussion, there was consensus to get feedback; i.e., a pro and con list yet this year.

Weiss asked Zwanziger to provide some feedback at the Feb. 7 th meeting. Weiss will send out an e-mail to everyone with the schedule.
