Chabot College September 1995 Removed Fall 2006 Course Outline for Art 96 COMMERCIAL ART WORK EXPERIENCE EDUCATION SEMINAR Catalog Description: 96- Work Experience Seminar May be repeated 3 times 1 unit Focal point for the coordination of the student's curriculum with college supervised part-time or full-time employment in the student's major field. Case studies, job related problems, student cases and presentations, and material related to employment, organizations and management are discussed; emphasis on building strong working relationships with supervisors, subordinates, and co-workers. Prerequisite: corequisite in Commercial Art Work Experience Education 95. 1 hour. Expected Outcomes for Students: Upon completion of the course the student should: 1. gain a better understanding of other people; their jobs and the similarity of work related problems encountered by other students; 2. develop an understanding of the effect of interpersonal relations on job performance; 3. gain awareness of self as it relates to careers and success on the job; 4. gain self-confidence on the job.
