Review committees and who attends them List people we want to invite to meetings Review present constitution Page 1 Classified Senate Minutes – 18 June 2015 College Council o Reviewed classified hiring o All positions on list that were discussed with President Sperling will go forward with hiring o Still pushing for lab technicians and stage hands o Classified Senate would like grant funded and categorically funded positions incorporated into our prioritization process. President Sperling agreed. Election results for Administrative Services senator - Steve Lowery is our new senator. He is from Campus Safety. 2. Notes from The June 16 Board of Trustees meeting - There was a ceremony for retirees, Susan and Connie thanked Rosie Mogle for her many years of service, Connie is not looking forward to Rosie leaving, keeps asking if maybe she has changed her mind. Lorenzo gave a report on the tentative budget, looks good at this time, we need to be aware of enrollment challenges that could have a negative impact. One item, The Dean of Science and Math, was pulled from the consent calendar. 3. I reported on our very successful Classified Appreciation Week activities co-sponsored by S.E.I.U. 1021 and Classified Senate. And the ice cream social sponsored by Susan's office. I also introduced Noell to the Board as our new president. Page 4
