Introductions
Members introduced themselves. John Bruce (MS MIS major) and Laura O’Connell (BS
Finance major) were welcomed to the committee.
Faculty Asst Chair/Secy
James Burton will serve as assistant faculty chair and secretary for the 2011-12 academic
year.
Committee Orientation
The committee reviewed and updated the contents of the Curriculum Handbook which
includes the tentative meeting schedule for the year, the mission and scope of duties of the
committee, guidelines for curricular revisions, and the assurance of learning process and
projects for 2011-12. The Assessment Team meetings will be held on the Tuesdays
College Curriculum doesn’t meet, with representatives from each department attending.
October 28 was announced as the catalog deadline.
Future Agenda Items
Members reported anticipated curricular items to come before the committee this year.
Finance Tool Kit
The Finance Tool Kit created by J. Johnson will be presented at the next meeting.
Interested faculty will be invited to the meeting.
UG Catalog Editorial
Change
The committee approved the addition of a heading for the BADM course listings in the
Undergraduate Catalog. (See page 1 of 1)
UBUS 101
A revision to the credit hours and description for UBUS 101, Business Disciplines and
Issues, was introduced. Further discussion will continue at the next meeting.
Adjournment
The meeting adjourned at 3:06 p.m.
