Description
The R366 frames are a compact wall-mounted frame designed to support R366 and R399
connectors in a modular building distribution system (MBDS). Each R366FRAME section
(25.33-in. H X 4-in. W X 6-in. D) mounts three R366 or R399, 100-pair connectors and
is designed to have three R366FRAME sections per vertical. This allows a 900-pair frame
capacity per 7-ft. vertical assembly. The modular frame design allows you to build to your
current needs and easily plan and add on for future expanding needs. Two bolts easily fasten each connector to the frame.
R366 frames are zinc-plated steel, assuring rigid construction and superior grounding
characteristics. They feature rounded edges and are equipped with insulated jumper rings
for vertical jumper wire routing and horizontal slots to securely tie-wrap connector cable
stubs to the frame. Six bolts easily fasten each frame section to a variety of wall surfaces.
This frame is designed to mount on 8-in. centers.
When frame sections are stacked, they are fastened together with a unit ground splice
plate. This plate not only stabilizes vertical frame assemblies but maintains ground continuity from frame section to section. Grounding should be wired in accordance with local
specifications.
The R366JTRAY (2.75" H X 4.06" W X 10.8" D) enables horizontal jumper wires to be easily
routed from frame to frame. Two bolts fasten the J Tray to the top frame section per 7-ft.
vertical.
Application
The R366FRAME is a wall unit designed to
accommodate 100 to 300-pair installations. It can be stacked three high in less
than 7-ft. (2.13 m) to handle 900-pair, or
mounted side-by-side in 900-pair groupings to achieve optimum utilization of wall
space. Each vertical row of 900-pair frames
can be spaced 8-in. (20.3 cm) apart.
