DISCONTINUED PRODUCT M BLOCK Distribution Frames Key Features •Modular frame design increased cable and jumper flexibility in a minimum amount of floor space •Available in single- or doublesided configurations allows wall-mounted or free-standing installations •Completely fabricated frame modules, made to order quick and easy purchasing and installation •UL Listed meets or exceeds documented performance levels Outside Plant for Business-Critical Continuity Description M block frames are specifically designed for quick-clip block wire termination and distribution, using our R66M series terminal blocks (R66M125 and R66M150). M block frames offer the cable and jumper flexibility of a standard central office frame with a minimum of floor space. Single- or double-sided configurations allow wall-mounted or free-standing installations. Installation is quick and easy because each unit is packaged as a completely fabricated frame module. Double verticals are welded together as a unit (module), making a freestanding frame that can be positioned in an entire lineup before anchoring. Guard rails and end guards are quickly installed to complete the installation. R89 series brackets easily attach to the frame and the R66M blocks snap quickly into the brackets. The design of these frames also provide ample space and area to tie interconnecting cables with ease of assembly, cross-connect, and maintenance in mind. Cables and jumpers are easily routed and traced using this unique design. Horizontal and vertical cable troughs are formed as the R89 type brackets are attached to the frames. This provides extremely flexible cable routing paths. The cables are “hidden” when the terminal blocks are snapped into place. Jumper terminations can be made quickly from one point to another anywhere on the frame. Jumper rings are included, providing neat and uncongested jumper runs. On double-sided frames, cross-connections are made between the horizontal and vertical sides in a “straight line-shortest distance” approach, eliminating complicated horizontal and vertical runs. Application M block distribution frames are used to cross-connect large pair counts in a frame environment. These frames are used in Centrex, PBX, and PABX installations where an MDF or IDF is required. OSPDS-085900 / 0605 M BLOCK Distribution Frames 2297 Series–8-ft., single-sided floor-towall mount frame. One unit will mount (8) R66M150 or R66M125 terminal blocks. Total capacity, 400-pair per unit with R66M150. The 2297 series is equipped with R89 mounting brackets. 2297X 2457 Series–7-ft., double-sided freestanding frame. Each module consists of two verticals, each mounting (7) R66M150 or R66M125 terminal blocks, for a total of 14 blocks on the vertical side. Fifteen R66M can be mounted on the horizontal side of one vertical on 10.18-in. centers (5-in. shelf spacing). One unit equals 1,450-pair total capacity. Each additional module provides 30 block positions on the horizontal side and 14 on the vertical for additional capacity of 2,200-pair Emerson Network Power.
