SMOV Status & Planning Meeting Notes 10/07/09 - Summary – After a final set-point change to 76 degK on Oct. 2, NICMOS SMOV is proceeding with focus measurements and dark monitoring. Several orbit-saving revisions to the NICMOS SMOV plan are being considered. COS analysis activities have been dominated by the line spread function (LSF) characterization and resulting Instrument Status Report (ISR). o - Observatory Status o - Details below and in the referenced attachments. All subsystems are nominal SI Status o WFC3 WFC3 SMOV is complete o COS (TKeyes) COS SMOV is complete The LSF analysis results have been published in ISR 2009-01(v1). The impact of the guidestar anomaly of day 269 (HSTAR 12023) during proposal 11481 (NUV High S/N Verification) is still being studied. Blind pointing analysis (ref. 9/30 notes), which may result in a new SIAF update, is continuing. Abstracts for several AAS papers/posters have been submitted. Final COS SMOV report at next meeting. o FGS/OTA FGS/OTA SMOV is complete o ACS ACS SMOV is complete. STIS STIS SMOV is complete o o NICMOS/NCS (TWiklind) Engineering NCS PID control setpoint changed from 77 to 76 deg K on Oct. 2 (275/1502) HSTAR 12307 (Oct. 7) – MEB2 temperature out-of-limits, high, intermittently with a value of 33.4529 deg C, Limit is 33.00 deg C. o Will be watched/trended as orbital hot season approaches. Science (TWiklind) NICMOS SMOV has begun o Focus adjustment and darks are ongoing. o Several orbit-saving revisions to the NICMOS SMOV plan are under review by the WFC3/NICMOS team and the HST Mission Office, with Project concurrence o o - ERO program is complete. P&S Status o - ERO For details, see attached NICMOS_SMOV_Report_20091007.ppt Nominal Operations o FOT Nominal o PACOR Nominal o OPUS (TEllis) Fast-tracked NICMOS data for proposal 11408, with more data for this proposal coming on Thursday. ACS association jb5723030 (members jb5723of, og, ok, and ol) that originally errored in calibration due to RPTCORR and CRCORR both being set to "PERFORM",was successfully reprocessed. Mike Swam filed TRANS OPR 63480 for this problem qekeyword.keyword_value in the SPSS database was incorrectly set to a value of "2" (should have been "1") for qekeyword.keyword_name = CRSPLIT o George Chapman made the required changes. With help from Lisa Gardner and George Chapman, the unwanted records for associations na7o01010-090 and na7o02010-0f0 were removed from the OPUS and SPSS databases. The exposures that were originally members of these associations failed the DADS house-keeping updates after not being collected into the associations o due to calibration being bypassed (dc_nic not triggered). They were all successfully reprocessed today. o Archive (SAnderson) Nominal
