Dear Parishioners,
On this Feast of St. Ignatius, I would like to share with you two versions of one of my
favorite prayers that express Ignatius’ love for Christ. My prayer for all of you is that you may
know the inexhaustible love that God has for you in Christ Jesus. On this Ignatius Day, I bless
and thank God for who you are and for all that you share of yourselves in our parish
community which bears the name of Ignatius.
Peace,
Fr. Bob
Soul of Christ, Sanctify me.
Jesus, may all that is you flow into me.
Body of Christ, save me.
May your body and blood
be my food and drink
Blood of Christ, inebriate me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
O good Jesus, hear me.
Within Your wounds hide me.
Permit me not to be separated from You.
From the wicked foe defend me.
At the hour of my death call me.
And bid me come to You.
That with Your saints I may praise You
For ever and ever. Amen.
May your passion and death
be my strength and life.
Jesus, with you by my side
enough has been given.
May the shelter I seek
be the shadow of your cross.
Let me not run from the love
which you offer,
But hold me safe from the forces of evil.
On each of my dyings
shed your light and your love.
Keep calling to me until that day comes,
When with your saints, I may praise you
forever. Amen.

R ELIGIOUS E DUCATION REGISTRATION
FOR 2005-06 We are already planning for the
fall, our enrollment is an important element of
effective planning. If you have not already
registered your child for the fall, you may do so
at the rectory any day of the week.
L ITURGY OF THE W ORD FOR
CHILDREN continues during the
combined 10:00 AM Liturgies. If you can assist,

call or email the Office, 617-552-6102.
FOR F AMILIES With the
conclusion of the Family Mass, we welcome our

with books and other quiet activities. Please feel
free to use this space as needed throughout the
summer. We also welcome the donation of
books.
YOUNG NEIGHBORS IN ACTION
SERVICE TRIP
Our eleven Young Neighbors in Action have
returned from a week of service in Washington,
D.C. The week involved intense service,
reflection, prayer and community life with
adults and youth from seven other parishes
from around the country. Half of our St.
Ignatius group spent the week working with
homeless immigrants while the other half split
time between an organization which feeds the
homeless and an organic farm which supplies
produce to the Capital Area Food Bank. It was a
remarkable experience and we wish to thank the
parish for their support and prayers.
A QUIET C ORNER

Pre-School to High School. Please call the
Religious Education Office at 617-552-6103 to
learn more about these opportunities to share
your faith with our children and young people
by becoming a part of our wonderful staff.
