The entire credit union benefits when members participate, which is why we’re inviting each and every member to attend this year’s annual meeting. The annual meeting provides an opportunity for credit union management and elected officials to share information and updates with you, the owners. You will learn about the credit union’s current financial status, products and services, accomplishments and innovations over the past year as well as goals for the future. You will be able to ask questions, meet fellow members, coworkers, incoming credit union officers, and learn about what makes your credit union truly special. Take advantage of this opportunity to find out what is going on at your credit union by attending the 2013 annual meeting. Mark your calendars today. We hope you are able to attend the Annual Meeting and Election, and look forward to seeing you! We unintentionally write a check for more money than we have in our checking account, forget to record an ATM withdrawal, forget to note a debit transaction, or forget to note an automatic bill pay deduction. Whatever the reason, a check returned for insufficient funds (NSF) is both costly and embarrassing. Your credit union offers a Courtesy Pay Program that is not a line of credit. However, if you inadvertently overdraw your checking account, the credit union will have the discretion to pay the overdraft, subject to the limit of the courtesy pay program and the amount of the courtesy pay fees. If you are not on the courtesy pay program yet, call our member service representatives to ask how to qualify. 336,491.99 3,144,191.36 $32,137,799.94 We Have the Key to Your New Ride If you are in need of the credit union, but are not in the area… check out either a Credit Union Service Center or look for a CO-OP ATM. With over 28,000 ATMS in the United States and Canada, and 4,400 CU Service Centers in the USA and seven other countries, your money is readily accessible to you without any FEES! You can download “CO-OP Financial Services-Find Branch” or “CO-OP Financial Services-ATM Locator” to your smart phone or your computer and find either a credit union or an ATM you can use with no FEES! To use a Service Center, all you need is your account number, a current government issued id and to know that the credit union is listed as “Univ of South Alabama FCU.” You can make deposits, withdrawals or make loan payments at a service center. To use a CO-OP ATM, just locate an ATM in your area on your phone or computer!!! Make sure you have you’re USAFCU ATM/debit card and know your PIN. That’s all you need, simple as that, 24 hour access to your funds, FEE FREE!! Whether you are just starting to browse auto dealer sites and the classifieds or are out there kicking the tires, we have the key to your new ride. When you come to the credit union to get your pre-approved vehicle loan, you eliminate one of the uncertainties of the buying process. You’re free to shop around as though you were a cash buyer. You’re not limited to any certain make or model that’s eligible for the dealer’s “special” financing. Often these are the vehicles that are not selling well, and while one of them may be what you are looking for in an auto, why limit your options? It’s best to keep how you will pay for any vehicle you’re interested in under your hat, however. Financing is a profit center for dealers and if you indicate you have already taken care of your loan, the dealer may try to make up any lost income somewhere else in the negotiation. Our vehicle loan rates are great, so whether you’re shopping for a new car, or one that’s new to you, see the credit union first.
