We hope that you can take advantage of this opportunity for personal renewal and refreshment. CALL FOR PARISHIONERS INTERESTED IN SERVING ON THE PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL The St. Ignatius Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) seeks new members for a 3 year term beginning September, 2010. If you are interested in serving on the PPC or know someone else who might be interested, please contact Fr. Bob at 617-552-6110 or frvereec@bc.edu. The PPC is an advisory body to the pastor and has as its primary focus assisting the pastor in planning for the future of the parish. Updating and monitoring the implementation of the Parish Pastoral Plan is one of the major functions of the Council, in addition to specific planning initiatives. The PPC aims to be broadly representative of the parish in its composition. We especially invite young adults (ages 22-40) to consider serving on the council. 25TH AND 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY MASS – Sean Cardinal O’Malley, OFM, Cap. invites all couples of the Archdiocese of Boston celebrating their 25th or 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2010 to the Wedding Anniversary Mass at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, Sunday, June 13th at 11:30 am. We’ll have our at-the-door on the weekend of June 5th/6th. To learn more about MCA, go to: www.mcaec.org. FOOD DRIVE: In June, we’ll be joining with other Newton congregations in collecting food for Newton’s food pantries. The food pantry shelves become very empty as summer approaches, so our collection of non-perishable foods will play a big part in keeping up with the requests.
