Could we feed the hungry through Lenten prayers, fasting and almsgiving? The answer was yes – and it came in the form of a small cardboard box. Today, CRS Rice Bowl is your way to help our sisters and brothers in need. CRS Rice Bowl is Catholic Relief Services’ Lenten faith-in-action program for families and faith communities. Through CRS Rice Bowl, we hear stories from our sisters and brothers in need worldwide and devote our Lenten prayers, fasting and gifts to help change their lives. CRS Rice Bowls are now available in preparation for Lent which begins on Ash Wednesday, February 18th; look for yours on the Outreach table or on the table in the Lannon Chapel. IF IT’S (OR WILL BE) MARCH, IT MUST BE SOCKS AND FLIP-FLOPS! This year, we’ll again conduct a month-long drive to provide new white socks and new shower flip-flops to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program for use at its many foot care clinics Boston.
