What’s New =================================================================================== This release contains the following enhancements: BACnet MSTP protocol support has been added for Building Management System interfaces using an RS-485 serial network connection. This is available for all managed equipment previously supported with BACnet IP. YDN23 (YD/T 1363) protocol support has been added for the Liebert NXL and Liebert PeX products. A Session Timeout feature has been added to the Web user interface. Web support has been enhanced to support additional web browsers. We have tested this release with the following versions: o Microsoft Internet Explorer® - IE9, IE10, and IE11 o Mozilla Firefox® - ver. 28.0 o Google Chrome® - ver. 34.0.1847.116 m o Safari (MacBook) – ver. 6.1.1 o Safari (iPad) ver. 7.1 Enhancements to the Embedded LIFE Technology have been made to improve Remote Service Delivery support. Modbus TCP is now supported over IPv6 networks. Ability to revert back to a previous firmware version and configuration has been added. This release contains fixes for the following issues: Component Web Interface Device Connection Web Interface Description After uploading and installing a newer firmware version, with some browsers you may see the ‘Return to web page’ button grayed out and not accessible. This only occurred with earlier versions of the Chrome browser. If this behavior is still evident, upgrade your browser to the latest Chrome release. The Unity card would not report that its RS485 MSTP Node ID conflicts with another device on the bus when two cards with the same Node ID were installed on the same device. One card would fail to connect to the managed device. Now a "Duplicate BACnet MS/TP Node ID" alarm is activated when there are duplicate nodes on the bus. The card in alarm will recover when the duplicate node is removed from the bus. This defect is fixed. Improvements were made to resolve a number of issues with the web login and authentication process. 2 Component E-mail/SMS Modbus Description Issues with incorrect e-mail/SMS notifications have been fixed. Changed the Unity card behavior, when missing Modbus register values from the device are detected, to match the behavior of the L-cards (IS-485L and IS-IPBML) to preserve BMS Interface compatibility. =================================================================================== 3. Update Instructions =================================================================================== The Unity cards may be updated to this firmware version using the web-based Firmware Upload feature. Please refer to the Firmware Updates section of the Liebert IntelliSlot Unity Card User Manual (SL-52645). =================================================================================== 4. Known Issues =================================================================================== Component Description Device Settings When temperature settings are made on some thermal devices, there may be some ‘round-off’ error of one tenth of a degree between what was requested and what the device shows after the change. This is a known limitation of some thermal device firmware versions and will be corrected in future versions of the device controller firmware. When selecting the Reset Event(s) buttons on the Summary webpage for some devices, the user will be guided through an extra login and confirmation sequence before the Reset request is successful. For sites with a slow DHCP server, a Unity card using DHCP may fail to establish some 3rd party protocol connections from the card. We are planning a fix to make the Unity card more forgiving in these environments. A work-around until then would be to configure the Unity card to use a Static IP Address, or to contact your network administrator to improve the response time of the DHCP server. There are a few (6) minor data point mapping errors for some thermal management equipment which will be corrected in the next maintenance release. There are some minor data point mapping errors for PeX and NXL equipment which will be corrected in the next maintenance release. Events Protocols & Configuration BACnet YDN23 3
