MCDOWELL COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT CLASSIFICATION TITLE: INCOME MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR II JOB LOCATION: ADULT & CHILD MEDICAID Job Description: Work involves the supervision of the Family & Child Medicaid and Adult Medicaid programs and staff. Duties include planning, organizing and directing, budgeting, training, setting work standards, reviewing work and a variety of personnel functions to include performance reviews and recruitment/selection of new employees. Work at this level includes such tasks as workload and workflow analysis, annual objective and budget setting and customer service. Employee reports to the Agency Director. Minimum Training and Experience Requirements: Three years of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker. Salary: $35,832 minimum annual Recruitment Standard: Considerable knowledge of all Medicaid programs, forms, manuals, policies and processes used to determine and re-determine eligibility. Considerable knowledge of the needs, problems and attitudes of disadvantaged persons. Considerable knowledge of all agency programs and services. General knowledge of community services and programs, which could affect the client/applicant. General knowledge of the budgeting process. Good mathematical reasoning and computational skills. Ability to instruct, organize, direct and supervise a team of Income Maintenance Caseworkers. Ability to learn and apply basic supervisory/management skills. Ability to communicate effectively with workers, supervisors, applicants and agencies. Ability to obtain pertinent data and to interpret and apply rules and regulations. Ability to present information orally and in writing. Excellent computer skills. Position is full-time and benefited.
