POSITION: Human Resource Placement Specialist - (Work First
Family Assistance/Work First Employment)

SALARY RANGE: 61 - $29,061 - $51,358
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position will be responsible for determining and re-determining eligibility for Work First
Employment services to mandatory participants. Work First Employment services for mandatory
WFFA participants include assessments, plan development, and on going monitoring. The worker will also be responsible for recruiting, monitoring, and maintaining Worksites for Work
First Employment participants. In addition to mandatory duties, this position may take applications and determine eligibility for Transitional Medicaid and for short-term upfront services including Emergency Assistance, 200% Program and to include but not limited to the
CIP and LIEAP programs for eligible participants.
This position is also required to work overtime including evening or weekend work as necessary to ensure work is completed accurately and timely. Position requires overnight travel and training at times as needed to meet state mandates and timelines.
This position is also responsible for Medicaid Transportation. Duties include but are not limited to the coordination of transportation for clients receiving Medicaid, the review and authorization of payment for transportation services provided under Medicaid, and maintaining case files of current Medicaid Transportation clients.
As with all positions with the Department of Social Services, this position is mandatory to serve in shelters in time of natural and man-made disasters including overnight and weekends.
Minimum Required Training/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a human services or business field such as human resources, marketing, business administration, business management, healthcare management, or public administration from an appropriately accredited institution; associate’s degree in a human services or business field (identified above) from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related work experience; graduation from high school and four years of directly related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
