G. Jim Hendrickson Jim Hendrickson is Senior Lecturer in Logistics at The Ohio State University. He has over 30 years of corporate experience with such companies as GE, AT&T, IBM, Ernst & Young, and Pitney Bowes. He has over 15 years of executive experience in product management, corporate development and general management. Throughout his career, Mr. Hendrickson has approached the supply chain from a technological view developing systems that helped shape the industry’s direction in retail and distribution. Over the decade prior to joining the Ohio State University, Mr. Hendrickson served as a Senior Executive in Sterling Commerce, a subsidiary of AT&T. In his role as Vice President of product management, he did market releases of the first B2B Integration platform, the first commercially available cloud-based Transportation Management System, and the first platform for Omni-Channel Commerce. Later as the SVP of Corporate Development responsible for global strategy and mergers and acquisitions, he acquired five companies that provided 183% equity return to the company. He also developed a global strategy that lead to double digit company growth and ultimately the acquisition of the company by IBM Corporation. Mr. Hendrickson had been a guest speaker in a number of MBLE and undergraduate logistics courses at The Ohio State University prior to joining the faculty. He has also been a logistics keynote and plenary session speaker on four continents in over fifteen conferences in the areas of supply chain, technology management, and innovation. He has authored a number of industry trade articles on B2B integration, Omni-channel commerce, supply chain execution, and parcel shipping. He has been active in the Ohio logistics industry working with organizations like Tech Columbus, Jobs Ohio, and Columbus Regional Logistics Council to develop strategies and differentiated market positioning. His principal teaching areas include logistics, supply chain management, transportation and sustainable supply chains. He extends that to corporate partners where he provides consultative support on automotive assembly manufacturing, Omni-channel retail, and lean logistics. Mr. Hendrickson is a decorated veteran having served as a US Army Medical Services Officer attaining the rank of captain. He also received three separate General Electric General Manager’s awards for innovation in operations.
