Press Release July 2013 Students visit TFL Academy in Italy The education of future generations is very important to TFL. Therefore, TFL contributes significantly to the support of local and international training institutes. For the past 12 years TFL and the ICLT (Institute for Creative Leather Technologies), University of Northampton, UK, have worked together. In May 2013, 18 students from the University joined some students from the Italian High School for Tanning Technology, ITIS G. Galilei, at TFL's site in Montebello for a 4-day workshop. The workshop included theoretical and practical leather applications. The training involved several presentations on TFL innovative systems followed by practical application in the labs with a special focus on the ecological aspects involved in the leather manufacturing process. On this occasion, both schools demonstrated their interest and wish to maintain and even improve their cooperation in the coming years. The TFL Academy is looking forward to continuing such training in order to support the education of future generations of leather technicians, technologists and scientists.
