Assessments: How did they go? i. Spirit Wear: 1. Stocked a limited amount of Spirit Wear 2. Sold out after first day 3. Planning to order more to have on hand at assessments 4. Planning to have additional amounts stored for second day of assessments. 5. Several students wore 2015 Bulldog Shirts on first day of school. ii. Student Directory: 1. 67 student directories have been sold thus far 2. Possible relocation of Student Directory Form due to each parent needing to fill out for student, yes or no to being in directory 3. Relocate directory form to school calendar table? iii. Yearbook: 1. Current Sales: $1492.00 2. Yearbook order forms are due December 14th, 2015 iv. Miscellaneous: 1. Parents extremely pleased with only having to write one check for Spirit Wear, Directory and Yearbook. 2. Order forms are due Friday September 18th. 3. Reminder slips were sent home in student’s folders on Monday September 14th and reminders posted on Facebook. 4. More Volunteers are needed to work tables on assessment days. 5. Send out Sign-Up Genius for volunteering at assessments earlier? III. Looking Ahead: a. Chip Shoppe: Vicki Truesdell, Chair Email: vicjune@hotmail.com i. Largest Fundraiser of the Year: 1. Fundraiser Dates: September 17th- October 5th , 2015 2. Fundraiser falls over 3 weekends! 3. Kick off for fundraiser is Thursday September 17th. 4. Assembly in gym put on by Chip Shoppe 5. “Dan” from Chip Shoppe – Head of Chip Shoppe Fundraiser 6. Chip Shoppe has larger variety of items vs. Innisbrook 7. Sales Goal: $8400.00 8. Pick- Up Day: Wednesday October 4th, 4-7pm 9. Volunteers needed for Pick- Up Day ii. Incentives for Selling: 1. Each student who sells 25 items = Limo Ride 2. If Westview reaches goal of total money raised = Bouncy House for Spring Carnival 3. Daily incentives for students who bring in order forms from selling 4. Daily announcements regarding fundraiser to be broadcasted during morning announcements. IV. Committee Reports: a. Landscaping: Sarah Sutton, Chair Email: ssutton.ga@gmail.com i. How Do Supplies Work? Mulch is needed for front garden beds 1. Mulching Spring 2016 2. Possibly funded by Pahl’s Market Fundraiser 3. Mulch has been donated in the past, possible donation? ii. Clean Up before Winter Day: 1. To be scheduled in either October or November 2. Volunteer opportunity for families to come out on a Saturday and do landscaping and garden maintenance in preparation for winter. 3. Each student who comes gets to plant a bulb to come up in the spring. 4. Slip to be sent home prior to event in student’s folders. 5. Date TBD by Sarah Sutton b. Meeting is scheduled for next week, Bond Referendum to be main topic of discussion. b. Teacher Report: i. Health and Wellness Family Night Cancelled: September 29th and moved to January. New copy of approved Budget for 2015-2016 School Year. i. See Attached Copy b. Westview Scholarship Fund: For past Westview students, who are graduating from high school, who submit essay i. Last Spring discussed scholarship amount to be either $1000 or two scholarships for $500 each. ii. Tami researched other elementary schools; only six schools have continued doing scholarships for past students. iii. Of the six schools with the scholarship program, scholarships range between $500-$1000. iv. Received thank you note from scholarship award recipient. c.
