Adam M. Katz Adam M. Katz is a tax partner at PwC, with over 30 years of experience assisting US and foreign-based multinationals with corporate international tax planning and transfer pricing, including three years on assignment as US tax senior manager in London. Adam is a founding partner of PwC's financial services industry transfer pricing practice, having served as global leader for over 12 years. In addition to his current role as leader of this practice for the Americas, Adam coordinates transfer pricing and related international taxation policy (e.g., monitoring and commenting on OECD projects) on behalf of PwC’s global transfer pricing tax practice. Adam has extensive experience in a variety of corporate and international tax areas, and on related accounting issues. His work includes global tax planning, corporate structuring and tax controversy and dispute resolution matters in the cross-border context, such as representation before the IRS and other taxing authorities. Adam earned his LL.M in Taxation from New York University School of Law, his Juris Doctorate from The American University, Washington College of Law, and his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Rutgers University. Adam is a member of the New York and New Jersey bars and is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and Maryland. Adam is certified through the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) Bridge Program, which confers AACSB accreditation for practioner faculty to serve in an academic position. Adam frequently lectures on international taxation and transfer pricing topics in academia (Baruch/CUNY MBA Program; Seton Hall University Law Center), in PwC’s Learning and Education Program and at numerous outside professional conferences, and has been awarded several “Star Awards” by the Bloomberg/BNA CITE program. Since 2005, Adam has received annual mention in the International Tax Review’s Guide to the World’s Leading Tax Advisors as a “Top 10” Advisor in the Eastern United States region. Adam resides in Montclair, New Jersey with his wife Yvonne, their 16 year old twin sons Ben and Oliver, and their miniature schnauzers Bella and Filey. In his free time, Adam is a clarinet and tenor saxophone player and, together with his son Ben, is a member of a local north-Jersey community band. Adam is an expert skier and enjoys many outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking and biking once ski season ends.
