WHEREAS: We formally request the assembly of the Investigative Committee regarding the
impeachment of NISG President Kathryn Anne (Katie) Evans for the alleged abuse of powers
and responsibilities, and for supposed unethical conduct while in office; and
WHEREAS: We believe President Evans may possibly be in violation of her oath and the
Northern Iowa Student Government Constitution for the aforementioned allegations; and
WHEREAS: In light of this possibility and these allegations pertaining to matters of tardiness
and absence, alcohol use, and negligence, the Investigative Committee should be formed to
investigate these allegations; and
RECOGNIZING: That this is not, nor ever has been, an effort to sanction a personal attack on
the University of Northern Iowa student, Katie Evans. Simply, this is an issue regarding
President Evans and her ability to represent the students of the University of Northern Iowa; and
RECOGNIZING: This is not an ill-conceived public relations stunt launched to draw attention
away from other student leadership, student-initiated movements, and/or student organizations.
Moreover, this action is not being taken in an attempt to distract the University of Northern
Iowa’s administration from their duties and obligations, but rather a constitutionally sanctioned
measure to preserve and continue the respected reputation of both the Northern Iowa Student
Government, their representation of the collective student voice of the University, and of the
University of Northern Iowa itself; and
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED: That Investigative Committee regarding the impeachment
of NISG President Kathryn Anne (Katie) Evans be convened.
