WHEREAS: The Northern Iowa Student Government recognizes the life of UNI student Carlton
Smith Jr; and
RECOGNIZING: that Carlton Smith Jr. was an excellent student majoring in Management and
Business Administration; and
RECOGNIZING: that he had truly impacted many people in life, and was intended for a
successful and a fruitful life in the future; and
FURTHER RECOGNIZING: that he will be greatly missed by the UNI community; thus
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED: that the Northern Iowa Student Government expresses its
deepest sympathies to Carlton Smith Jr.’s family and friends, the UNI College of Business
Administration, and all others who loved him very much; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the original copy of this resolution be presented to
Carlton Smith Jr.’s immediate family, and that copies be sent to all appropriate places at the
Speaker’s discretion.
