WHEREAS: The Northern Iowa Student Government recognizes the life of UNI staff member
Tim Merrick; and
RECOGNIZING: that Tim Merrick was a staff member at the Physical Plant, working as an
automotive mechanic for 38 years; and
RECOGNIZING: that he impacted many people at UNI, and lived a great life; and
FURTHER RECOGNIZING: that he will be greatly missed by the UNI community; thus
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED: that the Northern Iowa Student Government expresses its
deepest sympathies to Tim Merrick’s family and friends, his fellow staff members, and all others
who loved him very much; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the original copy of this resolution be presented to Tim
Merrick’s immediate family, and that copies be sent to all appropriate places at the Speaker’s
discretion.
