Dr David Levy is the Regional Medical Director of NHS England for Midlands and East. David has
over 28 years of medical experience, having worked as a Consultant Neuro-oncologist at Sheffield
Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Asa’ah Nkohkwo
Dr Asa’ah Nkohkwo is a Clinical Scientist and Public Health Consultant with 10 years experience of
the nuclear medicine laboratory at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London. Dr Nkohkwo took a career
break from hospital NHS in 2002 to champion the community cause of sickle-cell disease and was
Chief Executive and latterly Technical Adviser of the Sickle Cell Society.

Fiona Loud
Fiona is Director of the Kidney Alliance. She also chairs the Lister Kidney Patient Association and the
West Hertfordshire Hospital Trust Organ Donation Committee. Fiona is a member of various groups
that work to shape government policy relating to kidney care.

Jenny is an ambassador for the Patients’ Association. She is an experienced nurse, having started her
training at Moorfields Eye Hospital and subsequently specialising in nursing techniques for blind
patients. She then moved to Guy’s Hospital to undertake her generalist nursing training.

Dr Lola Loewenthal is National Clinical Fellow to the NHS Medical Director where she is seconded to
the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management (FMLM). She has recently completed her core
medical training at Imperial College London.

Gillian has been a Consultant Paediatric Anaesthetist at Birmingham Children’s Hospital since 1997
with special interests in diagnostic radiology, radiotherapy and liver transplantation.

former Medical Director for the Mount Vernon Cancer Network and has led two major surgical
strategic reviews for the East of England SHA.
