David has over 28 years of medical experience, having worked as a consultant neuro-oncologist at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Lay Representative Gary Robinson Gary Robinson has spent 40+ years in the private sector, after gaining the Chartered Institute of Secretaries qualification and Business Management Degree at Aston University in Birmingham. The significant work carried out in the private sector was for a FTSE 250 Company in the logistics industry. He has been a lay advisor to the NHS for over 2 years now and is currently Chair of Governors at a local C of E Middle School. Lay Representative Norma Armston Norma has a wide range of experience as a patient/carer representative at local and national levels. She has been involved in reviewing cancer services and was a lay assessor in the CCG authorisation process. Lay Representative Jenny Cairns Jenny is chair of a medical practice Patient Participation Group. For a number of years she was chair of Headway South West London, a charity which supports people affected by traumatic brain injury and their families/carers. Until recently she was a member of the national Clinical Reference Group for Brain Injury and Complex Rehabilitation. Junior Doctor Mahesh Kudari Dr Mahesh Kudari studied at Cambridge and UCL and trained in the South Thames Foundation School before moving to Oxford where he is a radiology registrar and academic clinical fellow. Mahesh is currently one of the NHS National Medical Director's Clinical Fellows, a scheme developing healthcare leadership and management skills in trainees. Doctor Esther Fine Miss Esther Fine is a consultant laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgeon. She is Chair of Surgery at Southend Hospital in Essex and trust lead for Emergency Surgery and Enhanced Recovery. Doctor Anna Lipp Anna Lipp has been a consultant anaesthetist at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital since 2000 and is lead clinician for day surgery and pre-operative assessment and president-elect of the British Association of Day Surgery. Doctor Paul Molyneux Paul Molyneux is a consultant neurologist at the West Suffolk Hospital Foundation Trust, where he is also Deputy Medical Director. He also works at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge, where he runs a regional service for patients with multiple sclerosis. He sits on a local CCG Board as secondary care specialist. Senior Nurse Matthew Sandham Mr Matthew Sandham is Head of Nursing for Surgical Services for Milton Keynes Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Matthew has over 23 years nursing experience, having worked as Senior Charge Nurse at both Northampton General Hospital and Milton Keynes Hospital. Matthew also has been a matron for more than 6 years leading on many transformation programmes. Matthew currently has the position of Head of Nursing for Surgical Services incorporating theatres, DoCC, outpatients, orthopaedic and general surgery. Student Nurse Carl Shooter Carl is studying nursing at Sheffield University. Having originally graduated with a degree in Business Management, Carl decided to pursue nursing after his experience in patient care. Board Level Nurse Liz Rix Liz Rix is in her third Chief Nurse post at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire NHS Trust. Liz has a general nursing and ITU (intensive care nursing) clinical background and has always had a passion for quality and governance underpinning this. Senior Nurse Liz Hogbin Liz Hogbin is a registered nurse who has worked for the NHS for over 30 years. She has specialised in critical care medicine and critical care outreach services. Her experience includes operational management after successful completion of an MBA. She is currently Head of Compliance Governance at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. CQC Compliance Manager Carolyn Jenkinson Carolyn Jenkinson is a compliance manager at the Care Quality Commission. Carolyn is a registered general nurse. She has been working in the field of regulation for the past eight years. Senior Trust Manger Francesca Thompson Francesca Thompson, RGN, RM is Chief Operating Officer of the Royal United Hospital, Bath. Francesca has over 33 years of nursing and operational experience mainly within the acute sector of the NHS. Previous roles held include Director of Nursing in a medium sized acute trust. As part of her executive portfolio Francesca has led the organisational quality improvement and transformation agenda through to an international level. Senior Regional Support Graeme Jones Graeme is Head of Delivery for Midlands and East Operations at NHS England. Senior Regional Support Finola Munir Finola is Regional Quality Assurance Manager for NHS England Midlands and East. She is a qualified paediatric nurse with 23 years experience in healthcare and has expertise in clinical quality, patient safety and risk management.
