Vidya Pratishthan’s college of Engineering Department of Computer Engineering A Report Workshop of – “Salesforce.com Developer & Admin Training” held during Sept 20th – 22nd, 2014 As per the culture of our College, every academic year Department of Computer Engineering and Computer Engineering Students Association organizes different technical events and workshop for students of Computer departments of our college. So CESA organized one workshop on Salesforce.com Developer & Admin Training”. Day 2 For this workshop Mr.C.PON Venkatesh who is our alumni has shown keen interest to teach students. Venkatesh is now working in Citrix Pvt Ltd. He is now working on Salesforce technology. Now a day’s ample numbers of jobs are available on this technology. Venkatesh is Salesforce certified Developer & Admin. Total 42 students were registered for this workshop. Workshop was started on 20th Dec 2014. This was a 3 day’s workshop. Content of the workshop: Day 1 Introduction to CRM concepts Salesforce Administration 1. User setup. 2. App, Objects, Fields, Data types, Profile, Permission sets, Public groups, queues. 3. Workflow rules, field updates, email alerts, email templates. 4. Case management (web to case and email to case.) Salesforce Development 1. Installing Eclipse Salesforce plugin. 2. Apex classes, Access Specifies and Access Modifiers in APEX. 3. Arrays, Collections and Maps in APEX 4. SOQL, DML operations and Example 5. Visual force basics. 6. Using Standard Controllers & Custom Controllers. 7. Standard Set Controllers and Standard List Controllers. Day 3 1. Deployments 2. Test Cases 3. Governing limits for SOQL and DML operations 4. Data loader Trigger, Combination of Workflows and Triggers lifecycle Trigger Best Practices At end of workshop, Our HOD Prof.Mrs.G.J.Chhajed gave votes of thanks to the speaker. HOD discussed some issues related to workshop with all students to boost them for carrier. The Workshop was conducted successfully. This workshop will definitely help to make their career in Salesforce Technology.
