NEW MONASH
PATHWAYS
TO LAW
THERE IS MORE THAN ONE WAY TO BECOME A MONASH LAW STUDENT.
IF YOU HAVE THE DESIRE AND DRIVE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE, OUR NEW
LAW PATHWAYS COULD BE FOR YOU.
These pathways are designed for students who have the talent
and determination to succeed in our Bachelor of Laws but just
miss out on the clearly-in ATAR. If you identify as an Indigenous
Australian, live in a low socio-economic area or have experienced
financial hardship you could be eligible.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
■■
Start studying law units from day one
■■
o time wasted – all subjects count towards your
N
qualification and you’ll complete it within the usual duration
■■
o special classes – you will study alongside your peers
N
in the regular degree
■■
Try out law units before committing to the full degree
HOW DOES IT WORK?
You will enrol into one of the following degrees:

Bachelor of Arts (Law Pathway)
■■
Bachelor of Commerce (Law Pathway)
■■
Bachelor of Science (Law Pathway)
In your first year, you’ll study four first year law units along
with four Arts, Commerce or Science units.
If you pass all first year units (48 credit points) with a credit (60%)
average in all four Law units and a credit (60%) average overall, you
are guaranteed a place in:

■■
second year of the relevant double degree course:
——
Bachelor of Laws (Honours)/Bachelor of Arts
——

second year of the Bachelor of Laws (Honours).
If you don’t achieve the credit average overall and in the
