ISU student pleads not guilty in hit-and-run

Iowa State University student Shanda Munn pleaded not guilty today to
charges related to the December hit-and-run death of another student.
Munn, 20, is charged with homicide by vehicle in the death of Kelly Laughery,
20, who was found lying on Mortensen Road shortly before 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 3.
ISU Police have said that Munn was at a keg party in western Ames drinking
before the accident.
Police said Laughery was struck from behind while walking east along the street.
