INTELLIGENCE SYSTEM FLOW TO THE BRIGADE
The Brigade will receive a combination of information from its organic assets and
intelligence products and data from higher echelons. These feeds will enable the brigade
S2 to formulate the intelligence portion of the COP.
MISSION
H-1. The mission of the S2 and its supporting ACT is to collate and analyze the various
information and intelligence feeds to form the intelligence portion of the COP.
EXECUTION
H-2. Each sensor group will have its own reporting channel based on the echelon to which it
is assigned or attached and the location of the controlling and/or analytical element
supporting its collection. The following information shows the general flow of information
and intelligence to the Brigade S2/ACT. The specific communications nets are discussed in
the applicable chapters of this field manual.
LONG RANGE SURVEILLANCE
H-3. The Long Range Surveillance detachment is a divisional asset that will report its
information through a Detachment Operations Base to the division G2 and ACE. The will be
a LRS liaison at the Brigade TOC to expedite the reporting of information of relevance to
brigade operations to the Brigade S2/ACT

H-4. There will be Tactical HUMINT Collection teams in direct support of the Brigade. There
will also be input from HUMINT teams in general support of the division and at JCF and
National level. Information from the organic and attached HUMINT (Interrogation) teams will
be reported to the Brigade S2/ACT through the HUMINT Control team. External HUMINT
reporting and HUMINT intelligence products will be produce/collated by the HUMINT
Analysis team in the ACE and will be passed to the S2/ACT through the HUMINT
Operations Cell of the G2X.

IMAGERY INTELLIGENCE
H-5. Imagery will be provided by direct feed from the Brigade level TUAV and through
intelligence products and data from division and higher echelons. Live visual feeds will be
forwarded to the Brigade S2/ACT through the TUAV Ground Control Station. Other feeds
from National, JCF and Division assets will be sent from the Division TAC to the Brigade
S2/ACT through the Imagery work station.
