GEPC sets Standards in
Decision Support
SPPA-M3000 Cockpit
The recently opened Guohua Enterprise Information Center provides a decisive competitive
advantage for GEPC. At its center is the Siemens
Cockpit deployed for the very first time in
a customer’s environment.
The Task
Guohua Electric Power Corporation (GEPC)
operates 24 power plants with a total capacity of
6,000 MW. To effectively meet the increasing requirements of the liberalized energy market, GEPC
implemented an “Enterprise Information Center”
at its Beijing headquarters. In the so-called
“Decision Room” the data of the whole fleet have
to be provided online in overviews and in detail to
allow fast response to events.

We installed the Siemens “Cockpit” at the
headquarters and in currently 3 power plants.
The Cockpit integrates all subsystems and offers
easy access from all work-stations via a userfriendly, well-structured user interface. Process
information from the DCS as well as other data
from all departments, such as fuel management,
maintenance, accounting, quality management
facilitate a comprehensive view of the company’s
situation.
