After the success of our first discussion forum on the topic of Bio-Fuels the next
Discussion Forum on Wind Energy will be held on
Friday 13 April 2007 at 15h00 at the Sustainability Institute at Lynedoch on the
R310, Baden Powel Drive. Prof Theo von Backström of Stellenbosch University and Mr
Hermann Oelsner of the Darling Wind Farm will introduce the topic where after an
open discussion will follow on the prospects of wind energy in SA and the world, the
contribution wind energy can make to achieve the long term goals of South Africa for
renewable energy, and possible projects that can be initiated to stimulate interest in
this area.
All academic staff and students, representatives from the public and private sectors as
well as the general public are welcome to attend.
There will be a small reception afterwards.
