HOPE COLLEGE EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY TEAM Meeting Minutes April 3, 2014 Opening: This meeting of the Technology Team was called to order at 7:00pm on April 3, 2014 in Van Zoeren 247 by co­directors Ashley Blauwkamp and Kate Bauer. Approval of Minutes The meeting minutes from March 6, 2014 have been uploaded to the Tech Team website. C.
Meeting Business ● Recap: MACUL ○ Congrats to Kate and Ashley for representing the Tech Team and giving a great presentation! ■ Presentation website: http://edtechteam.wix.com/digitalfootprints ○ Team members attended various sessions to learn about topics such as: Google Glass, Augmented Reality, Minecraft in the classroom, Assessment, and more! ● Committee and Partnership Updates ○ Continue to update the Google Doc with anything going on in your committee or partnership. ○ Web Development Committee: ■ The general Hope website will be getting re­designed, so moving forward with purchasing a pro Weebly account should wait until final designs and integration (or not) are decided by the Hope development team. ○ Assistive Technology Committee: ■ The committee is looking into getting a MACUL grant to get iPads for AT purposes. Education students and professors would both be able to use the potential new resources. ○ Holland Christian Partnership: ■ The team visited Holland Christian again and discussed a research project to track how the implementation of technology has increased student success. ●
