Dr. Catherine Bonuccelli joined Zeneca Pharmaceuticals from academics in 1994, and has supported a variety of drug development projects across all phases of the product life cycle, including the development-for-launch and post-launch phases. In addition, she has held many different organizational roles outside of drug projects, including leading the creation and implementation of organizational strategies to sustain long-term success in the area of drug development, providing functional leadership for US Regulatory and Medical Affairs, and providing senior medical representation for the US Business with key external scientific and healthcare customers. Currently, she is Global Product Vice President for Symbicort, AstraZeneca’s largest respiratory brand, with responsibility for global product strategy and execution worldwide. Dr. Bonuccelli received her B.S. in Chemistry from Georgetown University in 1979 and her M.D. from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1983. She completed her residency training in pediatrics and fellowship training in pediatric pulmonary at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and is board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric pulmonary medicine. Dr. Bonuccelli holds board positions for AI Dupont Children’s Hospital, the Delaware Biotechnology Park, and the American College of Physicians Foundation.
