When an office occupied by a departmental faculty or staff member becomes available, that department has
first priority in determining occupancy and each department shall establish its own process for making that
determination. Departments may ‘trade’ offices for strategic purposes (optimizing support for new faculty;
creating work clusters; providing proximity for co-teaching assignments; promoting cross-departmental
collaboration; etc.). All moves need to be coordinated through the Dean’s Office.
