Focus of Internship
ANTARES is seeking applications for our 2012 Summer Internship Program. Specifically, we are seeking an individual enrolled in an engineering/science degree program with an emphasis in renewable energy systems. In particular, ANTARES has a vibrant consulting practice in bioenergy that includes feedstock supply and logistics, biorefineries and biomass power generation. Summer internship will include working with ANTARES professional staff on projects focused in bioenergy and renewable energy technology assessments. Bioenergy work may include deployment, feedstock harvesting and delivery logistics, bioenergy feedstock sustainability and carbon accounting. Other task areas may include other renewable energy assessments and energy efficiency analyses for industrial clients. The position will include assisting with analyses that crosscut these areas and the preparation of client reports and presentations. The work may involve field and office work with private and government sector clients. The intern will be based out of the Fayetteville, NY office.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have (at minimum) completed his/her junior year in an engineering/scientific discipline that can be demonstrated to be directly related to renewable energy issues, including environmental sciences. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, excellent communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to participate in a professional work environment. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency with MS Office software.
Applicants demonstrating academic experience or personal interest in renewable energy technologies will receive preference in the selection process.
