Pollinator Talk and a Live Snake Display coming to Red Rock Visitor Center
Sedona, AZ – The Red Rock Ranger District invites the public to learn more about native
wildlife this month at the Red Rock Visitor Center.
On May 16th at 11:00 a.m., join Bob Beltz, Friends of the Forest volunteer, as he discusses
Desert Pollinators - A Key to Desert Life and learn about some of the usual and unusual
methods that desert plants use for pollination.
Then on Memorial Day weekend, May 24th and May 25th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Russell
Dunn and Karen McClelland, Arizona Game and Fish volunteers, will feature a live snake
display allowing the public to handle non-venomous snakes.
These events are free to the public and are a combined effort from the USDA Forest Service,
Arizona Natural History Association, and Friends of the Forest. The Red Rock Visitor Center is
located on highway 179, one mile south of the Village of Oak Creek. For more information,
