CAEP Standard 4 April 24 and 26, 2013 Present: Dick Carpenter, Barbara Frye, Leslie Grant, Monica Yoo, Jim Saunders, Jason DaLee, Elaine Cheesman, Grant Clayton Committee members discussed the committee’s tasks and deadlines and reviewed the standard and sub-­‐standards. Discussion focused primarily on: 1. What data are currently available to meet the sub-­‐standards 2. What data will soon be collected to meet the sub-­‐standards 3. What gaps exist in data relevant to the sub-­‐standards All of the programs likely have or will soon have data to meet sub-­‐standards 4.2-­‐4.4. However, it will be difficult to find data relevant to 4.1 at this time. Once SB 191 fully goes into effect, these data will be available, but that is not so currently. Some brainstorming was devoted to generating data for 4.1. Some committee members will go back to their departments to discuss this need. One outstanding question is the scope of data—do these data have to be collected for all programs or just those tied to some form of certification or licensure? Most programs will have the latter, but few if any will have the former. Grant Clayton will seek an answer to this question. By way of process, committee representatives will generate a list of data available for each sub-­‐standard and where such data can be located.
