Comprehension is the ability to understand something.
• One way we demonstrate comprehension is by identifying answers in the text.
When identifying answers in text:
• Read the text for understanding (comprehension).
• Read the questions paying attention to key words.
• Key words are the important words that tell us what the question is asking.
• Key words from the question, match words from the text.
