-People: migration due to: travel, jobs
freedom, weather (hurricanes),
-Goods and ideas: trade (imports and
exports), cultural diffusion

We change the environment and then
sometimes Mother Nature changes it
back.
For example, tornados in the mid-West,
Hurricane Katrina, and earthquakes and
mudslides in California.

characteristics
*Similar physical characteristics or similar
cultural characteristics
Examples: oil producing region, Spanish
speaking region, Buddhist region
