There are two L to J’s in Social Studies 20. One is a key terminology L to J and one is
for key people. Students will be evaluated 4 times throughout the semester on each
L to J, this will evaluate progress and show growth.
Learning Targets:
Learning Targets will be presented to the students daily. Students will also have
access to the complete learning target manual for the course that is available on
jessiehmann.com. They will be presented with these targets in student friendly
terms that will help students understand their tasks for the class and what they
need to be able to demonstrate. Learning Targets are present on every lesson, with
assessments of the learning taking place often so students can monitor their
progress.
Technology:
Each student will have access to their MacBook Pro’s for the duration of the
program. Planning for a Video Conference with a Holocaust survivor has already
