Syllabus Apparel and Textile Production II Course Description: This is a Family and Consumer Sciences class where students will gain a deeper understanding of design principles, engineering, fabrication, and global needs of an ever-changing Apparel and Textile industry. This course provides a major focus on textile design, textile science, product construction, global manufacturing, and the apparel/textile market while incorporating perquisite concepts. Entrepreneurship Final Exam: State CTE Post Assessment Course Expectations 1. You are expected to respect yourself as well as everyone around you in this classroom and in your life. 2. You are expected to come to class fully prepared for each day, with all materials and previous work completed. 3. You are expected to participate fully and positively in class every day! 4. YOU are expected to keep track of your grades, work, and any make-up work that may come your way due to an absence. 5. You are expected to try your hardest and be creative! You have three days to turn in any missed assignments, as well as collect any missed assignments. Anything turned in after three days will result in a 10 point deduction each day! Grading Policy Classwork: 20% Tests: 25% Projects: 25% Quizzes: 15% Final Exam is worth 20% of your final grade Sketch Book: 15% *This class is NOT based solely on your ability to sew, however it is based on your ability to improve, or grow upon where you started from. Bengal Boutique This class plans, produces, and executes a school store named the Bengal Boutique. This is an entrepreneurship based class that allows students to get first hand work-based learning experience.
