My name is Kevin Endres and I will be your child’s music

the work we have done so far and the work that is yet to
come in the music classroom. Throughout the school year we
will be exploring concepts of beat, rhythm, high/low sound,

What is beat?
Students can practice their
grade level songs by
accessing our website.
The first, second and third grade students have been exploring
concepts of beat and rhythm. First, the students experienced
physical examples of steady beat within a piece of music. The
student’s also explored, labeled and manipulated aspects of
rhythm using eighth, quarter and half notes in common time. At
the end of their explorations, the students created a class rhythm
composition and performed it using classroom instruments.
Composer Spotlight: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was known as one of the most famous
composers of the Classical Era. He was a child star that was known for his
young talent on the keyboard, violin and organ. He wrote over 600
musical works. Works to explore: “Eine kleine Nachtmusik”, The Magic
Flute (opera) and his set of variations of "Ah, vous dirai-je maman
(Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star)", K.265/300e.
Quick Facts:
