Kindergarten Rhythm and
Dance Objectives
PE.K.MS.1.3
Create transitions between sequential locomotor skills.
PE.K.MS.1.4
Use the non-locomotor and locomotor skills in response to even and
uneven rhythms in order to integrate beat awareness.
What does that mean to you?
In this unit you with be learning about rhythm and dance. You will need
to show your teacher that you can change the way you move when
you hear the rhythm or beat of the music change. You will also need
to be able to remember a sequence of more then 2 movements in a
row. For example, you may be asked to change from walking, to
jogging, skipping as the music changes.

Summary
By the end of this unit you will want to be able to
show your teacher that you can change the way
you move when you hear the beat of the music
change. You will also be asked to show that you
can move and remember a sequence.
