WE GATHER AT THE TABLE
COMMUNION HYMN
You Call Us Out (vs. 1, 2, 3)
(Offering is Received and Communion Table prepared)
LIGHTING THE CHRIST CANDLE
PASSING OF THE PEACE
May the peace of Christ be with you all.
And also with you.
Let us share God’s peace with one another.
CALL TO WORSHIP
Ascribe to God, you families of peoples,
ascribe to God glory and strength.
Ascribe glory to God's name,
bring an offering and enter God's courts.
Worship God in the beauty of holiness,
and let the whole earth stand in awe.
COMMUNION PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them up to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give our thanks and praise.
OPENING PRAYER
Living God, in this sacred time make us wise to believe that you,
who created the universe and still govern its destiny, can create in
us new hearts and govern our daily lives; that you welcome not
only our praise and thanksgiving, but also our anger and doubt,
our passions and brokenness. Receive all our worship this day, for
we offer it in spirit and truth, through Jesus our Redeemer.
Amen.
Blessed are you, gracious God,
Creator of light, Giver of all life,
Source of love, Keeper of all seasons.
In your pattern of things
there is a time for keeping and a time for losing;
a time for building up and a time for pulling down.
In this holy season of Lent,
as we journey to the cross,
help us to discern in our lives
what we must lay down and what we must take up;
what we must end and what we must begin.
Give us grace to lead a disciplined life,
in glad faithfulness and with the joy
which comes from a closer walk with Christ.

Grant that, in praise and thanksgiving,
we may receive this meal
as Christ’s life with us
and we may so offer ourselves to you
that our lives may proclaim the mystery of faith.
In the name of Christ, we pray:
THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy
kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give
us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we
forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, the
power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
SHARING OF BREAD AND CUP
PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION
We thank you God for your presence here at this table and for
your companionship on all our journeys. Bless us on our way
through Lent, to the cross, and beyond. We pray in the name and
spirit of Jesus. Amen.
